Main Activities
Some of our main activities in our youth work is our youth Cafe which is on the rise again after being a little slow over the past 6 months. Our daytrips which we are planning on growing. We have taken up a new program with a local school in training year 8 students in leadership skill and giving them opportunities to help run a festival or Lunchtimes With A Difference (LWAD) program in a primary school.
Wombat continues to raise funds for the local work, State and overseas and makes contact with hundreds of folk each week. The Community craft and Mums and bubs service only a small number of these contacts and we have moved the Mums’ group to a local park where we are doing our next Festival. We also run a number of activities for girls and are now seeing more take up as we move TNT to a night, themes at Cafe and Girls Nights out including pampering and DVDs.
